This year’s conference will be held in person on Friday, April 25th, 2025 from 7:30am – 4:40pm. We are excited to offer you CEU eligible content this year. Conference agenda is attached. Deadline to register is Friday April 18th, 2025.
Registration is now open for the 2024 Wisconsin Genetics Exchange held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 8:30 am – 5:10 pm.
The conference is jointly planned by the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) in partnership with the Wisconsin Genetic Counselors Association (WIGCA).
Registration
Registration is required for all participants. Registration deadline is September 26,2024
There is no registration fee. NSGC's CEU application fee ($35) will be covered for the first 80 certified genetic counselors who register, request CEUs in this online registration, and attend the full conference (either in-person or virtually).
Continuing Education Credit
Application approvals are pending for 0.59 NSGC Category 1 CEU credits.
CEU credits are available to all attend the conference live (in-person and virtually). Partial credit is available to those who do not attend the entire conference. However, we are required to verify each claimant’s attendance aligns with the number of credits requested. This will be achieved through an attestation of time and self-identification on the conference evaluation.
WIGCA Annual Business Meeting
The WIGCA Annual Business Meeting will begin following adjournment of the Wisconsin Genetics Exchange.
The NSGC Annual Conference showcases advancements across the breadth of the genetic counseling profession to provide education and build community. Attendees will gain knowledge of clinical and scientific best practices and insights into emerging research. The conference provides a unique opportunity to engage and network with colleagues and pursue professional development.
The Illinois Society of Genetic Professionals invites you to the ISGP Annual Symposium!
The 2024 Medical Genomics Symposium will be on Monday, May 20th from 8am-4:30pm at Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago. This is a hybrid event: Attendees can join virtually or in-person. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.

Continuing Education Units for Genetic Counselors: This event has been submitted to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for approval of Category 1 CEUs. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accepts CEUs approved by NSGC for purposes of recertification. Pending NSGC approval, genetic counselors who attend the live event (in-person or virtual) will have the $35 CEU fee covered by symposium organizers, thanks to the generous support of the King Family Fund for Lynch Syndrome Education, Outreach and Impact.
The University of Wisconsin Madison Genetic Counseling Program is hosting a workshop for genetic counselors new to clinical supervision. The aims include providing a framework about why we supervise, how we teach clinical skills, and what constitutes effective feedback and assessment.

The UW-Madison Genetic Counseling training program will be hosting a conference exploring clinical supervision from why to how. This event is open to anyone new to or doing clinical supervision in Wisconsin. CEUs will be available.
